Teen injured while riding off-road

A 14-year-old Harford County girl, who was injured Saturday while riding on an all-terrain vehicle operated by her sister, remained in fair and stable condition yesterday at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

Christy Rene Delosier, of the 3600 block of Fallston Road, Jarrettsville, was riding on the rear of the off-road recreational vehicle, driven by Rachel Kathleen Delosier, 15. State police said Rachel made a sharp turn, causing Christy to fall from the four-wheeled vehicle and become pinned under the rear tire.

Investigators said the girl's right leg was cut severely by the right foot pedal. The victim was flown to the hospital by a state police helicopter from the scene of the accident in the 1900 block of Gillis Falls Road, Woodbine.
