Shareholders sue Apple officers

Six officers and directors of Apple Computer Inc. were named as defendants in a shareholder lawsuit alleging they released false positive news about the company's condition while personally selling more than $25 million of the firm's stock.

The suit, which seeks class-action status, alleges that between Oct. 15, 1992, and July 15, 1993, the defendants sold more than 439,000 shares of Apple stock.
