Riding center raises $20,000 at Foxfield Farm benefit

The Therapeutic and Recreational Riding Center of Lisbon has announced that it raised $20,000 at its sixth annual horse show benefit last month at Foxfield Farm in Woodbine.

More than 200 people participated in the show, which was sponsored by Foxfield Farm owner Bob Porter.

The center is planning another horse show, sponsored by Gayer's Saddlery of Laurel, in October.

* Woodbine: Someone broke into a Jeep and a Ford Bronco owned by a resident of the 15800 block of A.E. Mullinix Road and stole two car phones worth about $1,700 early July 12.


* Berrett: Winfield responded to a fire alarm on Old Washington Road at 9:34 p.m. Monday. Units were out for 28 minutes.

* Mount Airy: Equipment from the Mount Airy and Lisbon, Howard County, stations responded to an alarm on Watersville Road at 12:36 p.m. yesterday. They were back in service in 15 minutes.
