The Anne Arundel County state's attorney told county law enforcement agencies to make arrests when they see slot machines paying off in money, and to take notes when they see them them paying off in merchandise. The Crownsville State Hospital in Anne Arundel County was for Negroes only until a desegregation order five years ago.
