Lockheed rents office space at National Business Park
Lockheed Corp., one of the nation's biggest aerospace and defense companies, has signed a lease at National Business Park, at Baltimore-Washington Parkway and state Route 32.
Constellation Real Estate has announced that Lockheed will rent 15,807 square feet in a two-story building next to the glass office tower reportedly leased to the National Security Agency, which has a massive complex across the parkway.
About 70 employees are expected to work at Lockheed's offices, which will open this summer.
Laurel man ordered to see psychiatrist
A Laurel man who barricaded himself in his home Sunday was FTC ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation after he threatened to kill himself, county police said.
Larry Griffin, 30, of the 300 block of Cecilton St., barricaded himself in his home at 6:30 p.m. and threatened to kill himself with a shotgun, police said.
After 2 1/2 hours, officers talked Mr. Griffin into allowing them to take him to North Arundel Hospital for an evaluation, police said.
Police said they seized a shotgun from Mr. Griffin's home.
