Country-western 'pickers' to play at Severna Park
If you're strolling along the B&A; trail this evening and hear country and western music, it'll mean you're not far from the gazebo in Severna Park, where a group of country "pickers" are gathering at 7 p.m. to make music together.
"Anybody who wants to play is welcome, and anybody who wants to listen," said Maynard Huddleston, 65.
"We play for our own pleasure, but we figure, hey, if somebody else enjoys it, even better," he said.
Dry cleaning store robbed by three men
Three men, one armed with a shotgun, robbed a dry cleaning store in Cape St. Claire Tuesday afternoon and tied up two employees before running away with an undetermined amount of money.
Police said the men walked into Bergman Cleaners, in the 1300 block of Cape St. Claire Road, about 4:15 p.m. through an open back door and confronted an employee, Ji Hoon Lee.
While one of the men forced Mr. Lee to the floor and rifled through his pockets for money, another man tied his hands together using a shirt and covered his face with another piece of clothing.
The men then walked to the front of the store, tied up another employee, Jeong Bok Chung, 42, and forced open the cash register.
