Suns top Phillies, 8-1, end 9-game skid

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The Hagerstown Suns broke a nine-game losing streak yesterday as they beat the Spartanburg Phillies, 8-1, in the first game of a South Atlantic League Single-A baseball doubleheader.

Trevor Mallory (5-2) pitched a complete game for the win. Trevor Humphry (1-6) was the losing pitcher for the Phillies (18-28).
