Florida Panthers -- Reached agreement with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the International Hockey League on a three-year contract whereby Cincinnati will become the primary affiliate of the Panthers.

Pittsburgh Penguins -- Signed LW Troy Loney to a multi-year contract.

AHL -- Approved the Ottawa Senators' purchase of the New Haven franchise and its transfer to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Approved the sale of the Utica franchise by the New Jersey Devils to the Calgary Flames and its transfer to St. John, New Brunswick. Approved the transfers of Baltimore to Portland, Maine and Halifax to Cornwall, Ontario.
