If you go to Norway for the Winter Olympics, private accommodation is available


Q: Is anyone offering private accommodations for the 1994 Winter Olympics in Norway?

A: The names of some groups representing owners of houses, apartments, cabins, villas and farms in Lillehammer, Norway, and the surrounding area are available from the Norwegian Tourist Board, 655 Third Ave., New York, N.Y. 10017, (212) 949-2333. Two representatives are in the United States: Passage Tours, 238 Commercial Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, Fla. 33308, (305) 776-7070; and the Synergy Group, 75 Holly Hill, Greenwich, Conn. 06830, (203) 629-5300.

A sixth company, Spatindgruppen in Brumunddal, reports it has no accommodations left. The others offer accommodations for minimum stays ranging from 10 to 18 nights at prices starting at about $70 a person a night.

Passage Tours has a 17-night minimum stay and offers accommodations ranging from a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment for two people for $5,950 for the full run of Olympics events from Feb. 11 to 28 (which works out to $175 a person a night) to a four-bedroom, three-bathluxury villa for eight people for $67,500 ($496 a person a night). A five-bedroom, two-bath villa for 14 people is $29,750 ($125 a person a night). A $250 deposit is required.

Synergy Group has a one-week minimum stay. It offers two-bedroom, one-bath houses for four people for $3,000 a week, which is $107 a person a night. A five-bedroom house with two and a half baths for 10 people is $10,000 a week ($143 a person a night). Synergy also has some studio apartments for $1,000 a week. Some of Synergy's accommodations come with meals, transportation and guided tours. A $50 application fee is requested.
