THEFT: Central District -- Property valued at more than $180 was stolen from a car parked in the 400 block of W. Pratt St. Monday by someone who entered by breaking a window.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Someone entered an apartment in the first block of W. Madison St. Monday through a door and stole property valued at $400.

THEFT: Central District -- A cellular phone valued at $400 was stolen from the trunk of a car parked in the first block of E. Chase St. Sunday night or Monday morning.

CUTTING: Southwestern District -- A man with a knife was in the 300 block of S. Smallwood St. Monday when he attacked a resident of the 200 block of S. Furrow St. and cut him on the hand. The victim was treated at St. Agnes Hospital.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Four men robbed Juhung's grocery in the 2100 block of Ramsay St. of cash and soft drinks, all valued at $60, Monday evening after one of the men struck a store employee with a utensil.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered the office of White's auto sales in the 3200 block of Leeds St. over the weekend and stole property valued at $60.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police responding to a burglary in the 1300 block of Wildwood Parkway Monday arrested a 40-year-old man who entered through a window and was stealing property. At the police station, the man attempted to hang himself with his T-shirt, but he was saved by police. The man was committed to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 3100 block of Clifton Ave. Monday and stole cash, jewelry and appliances, all valued at more than $1,300.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Property of unknown value was stolen from J.J. Adams Fuel Co. in the 1800 block of Winchester St. by someone who entered the firm's office over the weekend.

CHURCH BURGLARY/ARREST: Western District -- Police responding to a burglary in progress at the Community Baptist Church in the 200 block of N. Mount St. early Monday arrested a man who entered through a rear window. The man was found hiding on the second floor and was being held pending charges.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Tools and appliances, all of unknown value, were stolen from Fred Roemer & Sons in the 2200 block of Pennsylvania Ave. over the weekend.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed A & B check cashing in the 1200 block of W. Baltimore St. of an undisclosed sum about 8 a.m. Monday.

STABBING/ARREST: Western District -- A resident of the 2300 block of Whittier Ave. was stabbed in the face Monday during an incident at his home. A suspect was later arrested.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two female residents of the first block of Gorman Ave. were in the 700 block of Whitmore Ave. about 9 a.m. Monday when a gunman robbed them of several pieces of jewelry valued at more than $300.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men robbed a resident of the 2600 block of W. North Ave. of a pager and cash Sunday night while the victim walked in the 2700 block of W. North Ave.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one with a handgun, were in the 1900 block of Riggs Ave. Sunday when they robbed a resident of the 1100 block of N. Mount St. of less than $5.

PURSE SNATCH: Western District -- A resident of the 1200 block of N. Bentalou St. was in the 2100 block of W. Baltimore St. Monday morning when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all of unknown value.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1500 block of Penrose Ave. was riding his bike in the 2000 block of N. Stricker St. Monday night when he was pushed off the bike by a man who stole it. The bike was valued at $90.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered Super Fried Chicken in the 1200 block of W. North Ave. Monday evening and used a set of bolt cutters to open several video game machines and steal and unknown number of quarters.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered a car owned by a resident of Friendship, Anne Arundel County, while it was parked in the 300 block of E. 29th St. over the weekend and stole 35 music tapes valued at more than $150.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A gunman entered a carry-out in the 5800 block of Reisterstown Road Monday night and robbed a resident of the 600 block of N. Highland Ave. of cash and property, all valued at nearly $70.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone stole a bike valued at nearly $200 from the front porch of a house in the 3900 block of Cedardale Ave. Monday.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- A radio and cellular phone were stolen Monday night from a 1988 Saab parked in the 5400 block of Fairview Ave.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Property valued at $400 was stolen from a house in the 5400 block of Price Ave. Monday morning by someone who entered through a door.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Northwestern District -- Police arrested a resident of the 4700 block of Reisterstown Road and charged him with striking a woman who lives in the 3500 block of Park Heights Ave. with a plastic milk crate during an incident Monday morning at the man's house. The victim sustained multiple lacerations to the face and head that required 20 stitches. The man, Lester Jones, 46, was charged with aggravated assault.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A man armed with an unknown weapon robbed a resident of the 4100 block of Erdman Ave. of $500 while the victim walked near his home Saturday night.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A gunman who also carried a knife was in the 5400 block of Park Heights Ave. Sunday night when he robbed a resident of the 1400 block of Cantwell Road in Baltimore County of cash and jewelry, all valued at more than $1,000.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 4000 block of Fairview Ave. through a rear door Sunday and stole property valued at nearly $900.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Four youths entered Automatic Rolls Inc. in the 7100 block of Commercial Ave. Monday night and stole a lawn mower valued at $150. The youths were seen running toward Hollander Ridge.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4500 block of La Salle Ave. was riding a bike near his home Monday when he was pushed to the ground by four males who stole the bike, valued at more than $200.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Two men, one with a sawed-off rifle, robbed a Sun cab company driver of his cab, wallet and money bag in the 1000 block of E. 30th St. early Sunday morning. The cab, No. 286, had not been recovered.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- An eight-piece silver setting, coffee maker, TV and radio, all valued at more than $2,000, were stolen from a house in the 3400 block of Elmora Ave. over the weekend by someone who entered through a rear window.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A gunman robbed the 7/Eleven store in the 1100 block of E. Cold Spring Lane of an undisclosed sum Sunday morning and also robbed a store employee of his watch.

RAPE: Northeastern District -- Two men beat and raped a woman in the 5700 block of Belair Road about 1 a.m. Sunday before driving off in an car. The woman was taken to the Francis Scott Key Medical Center for treatment.

THEFT: Northern District -- Property valued at nearly $200 was stolen from a 1985 Cadillac parked in the 2800 block of Greenmount Ave. over the weekend.

THEFT: Northern District -- Jewelry valued at $5,000 was stolen from the bedroom of a house in the 4100 block of N. Charles St. by a guest who stayed there during the weekend.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1990 Honda with Pennsylvania plates WAZ156 was stolen from the 2900 block of N. Calvert St. Sunday night or Monday morning.

Baltimore County

BANK ROBBERY: Garrison District -- A man who implied he had a handgun walked behind the teller station at the First American Bank in the first block of Crossroads Drive shortly after 9 a.m. Monday and ordered at least one teller to give him money from her cash drawer. The man escaped with an undisclosed sum.

ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- After requesting two cartons of cigarettes from an employee at the Woodlawn Shell service station in the 6600 block of Security Boulevard about 8:30 p.m. Monday, a man pulled out a handgun and demanded the employee give him money from the cash register. The gunman escaped with more than $100 and two cartons of Newports.
