Olive R. Ashton, a homemaker, died April 29 at the Meridia Nursing Center in Randallstown of cardiovascular disease.

The 89-year-old Columbia resident immigrated to Key West, Fla., in 1960 from her native Sydney, Australia, moving to Columbia in 1972.

Mrs. Ashton is survived by two daughters, Helen Banghart of Columbia and Beverley Skillings of Silver Spring; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Crest Lawn Cemetery, 2150 Mount View Road, Marriottsville.
