ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the 2300 block of Frederick Road was in the 1100 block of Maryland Ave. about 11 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman robbed him of $45.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Someone entered a house in the 600 block of Whitelock St. through a window Tuesday and stole property valued at nearly $400.

SHOOTING: Western District -- A resident of the 2000 block of Baker St. was in the 1600 block of Laurens St. about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday when he was shot. The victim was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment. No arrest has been made.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered the Club Pices in the 1100 block of N. Calhoun St. with a key between Monday night and Tuesday morning and stole a TV, VCR and cash.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Property valued at more than $1,000 was stolen from the Monroe Street Church in the 300 block of N. Monroe St. between Sunday and Tuesday by someone who entered through a rear window.

ABDUCTION/ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1700 block of N. Carey St. was forced into a car in the 1300 block of N. Calhoun St. Tuesday by two men who robbed him of property valued at nearly $400 before freeing him.

ARSON: Western District -- Police were seeking a man who set a fire inside an apartment building in the 2300 block of W. North Ave. Tuesday afternoon. No injuries were reported and the damage was minor.

STOLEN VAN: Western District -- A van owned by Heritage Electric in the 3900 block of Vero St. with Maryland plates 428830 was stolen from the 2200 block of Evergreen St. Tuesday afternoon. The van contained tools and equipment worth hundreds of dollars.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1300 block of Harlem Ave. Monday and stole stereo equipment and cash, all valued at more than $1,000.

THEFT: Western District -- A warrant was expected to be issued for the arrest of a person who rented a generator from the Walbrook lumber company in the 2600 block of W. North Ave. Feb. 16 and failed to return it by May 11. The generator is valued at $1,200.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- U.S. Savings Bonds valued at more than $4,000 were stolen from a house in the 3300 block of Elbert St. and cashed. The bonds were stolen last year and were not missed until the owner received documents indicating that they had been cashed. Police said the thief apparently forged the owner's signature.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- A lawn mower valued at more than $300 was stolen from the back yard of a house in the 100 block of Upmanor Road Tuesday.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Someone entered Van Den Bergh foods in the 3700 block of Southwestern Boulevard between May 7 and 10 with a key and stole $500 from a locked office cabinet.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Three bikes were stolen from the third-floor balcony of an apartment in the 4700 block of Sayer Ave. Monday night or Tuesday morning. The bikes are worth $900.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A gunman robbed the 7-Eleven store in the 6400 block of Reisterstown Road of an undisclosed sum and several cartons of cigarettes early Tuesday morning.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 100 block of Stamford Road was in the 2600 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway about 6 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman robbed him of an undisclosed sum.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- An unarmed man entered the Northwest Medical Center in the 4400 block of Park Heights Ave. Tuesday afternoon and ordered a cashier to give him the contents of her cash register. The man escaped with an undisclosed sum.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2800 block of St. Paul St. Monday through a window off the second-floor balcony and stole a wallet containing $100.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1993 Chevrolet with Florida plates YZR95X and owned by Alamo car rental in the 700 block of Elkridge Landing Road in Howard County was stolen Monday night or Tuesday morning from the first block of W. Lake Ave.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- Someone stole a gold 1993 Honda with Maryland plates AHP188 from the 2300 block of Crest Road Monday night or Tuesday morning.

Northern District -- A sweat suit valued at nearly $50 was stolen from a house in the 4500 block of Finney Ave. Tuesday morning by someone who entered through a basement window.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered a 1992 Ford Probe owned by a resident of the 4100 block of The Alameda while the vehicle was parked in the 100 block of E. 34th St. Tuesday morning and stole a radar detector valued at nearly $250.

THEFT: Northern District -- While a resident of the 2700 block of Maryland Ave. was shopping in a store at the Rotunda Mall in the 700 block of W. 40th St. Monday, someone stole her wallet containing cash and property, all valued at more than $100, from an unattended shopping cart.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered a house in the 1800 block of McHenry St. Tuesday morning and stole a window air conditioner valued at $75.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Property valued at $100 was stolen from the Crystal laundromat in the 1500 block of S. Hanover St. Tuesday by someone who entered with a key.

ROBBERY/CUTTING: Southern District -- A resident of the first block of W. Calvert St. in Brooklyn was in the 3500 block of Potee St. Tuesday morning when he was robbed of $89 by a man armed with a knife who cut him before fleeing.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- Two men robbed a resident of the 300 block of S. Stricker St. of her purse containing $150 as she walked near her home Tuesday evening.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- A gunman robbed Salvo auto parts in the 7000 block of Liberty Road shortly before 7 p.m. Tuesday of an undisclosed sum before escaping in a white Ford Fairmont with Maryland tags AGA780.

BURGLARY: Garrison District -- Someone entered a house in the 2800 block of Grasty Woods Lane in Pikesville about 6:30 p.m. Monday through a second-floor window above a garage and stole cash, jewelry, coins, and an extensive baseball card collection. During the burglary, the intruder cut the telephone lines that supplied power to the home's burglar alarm system. The intruder escaped by driving off in the victim's 1990 Lincoln with Maryland license WFR550.

THEFT: Cockeysville District -- Nearly 80 sheets of plywood valued at $1,800 were stolen from a construction site in the 8500 block of Huntspring Drive Monday or Tuesday.

BURGLARIES: Cockeysville District -- Someone entered at least four businesses in the first block of Loveton Circle early Tuesday morning and stole cash, postage stamps, a radio and other items.

THEFT: Cockeysville District -- A .41-caliber Remington Derringer and a .25-caliber semiautomatic handgun, all valued at more than $1,700, were stolen from a house in the 17300 block of Wesley Chapel Road between May 7 and Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Parkville District -- Someone entered a snowball stand in the 7600 block of Harford Road between 9 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday and stole $15 in coins.

THEFT: Parkville District -- More than $1,200 has been stolen from S. Hiken Formal Wear in the 1900 block of E. Joppa Road over the past three months by someone altering the daily cash register tapes. The theft was discovered during an audit.
