A Crownsville man was taken to North Arundel Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation after police found him in a shed with a shotgun Saturday afternoon.
According to the police report, a man who sounded mentally unstable dialed 9ll at 3:26 p.m. and told dispatchers he was being held in a room against his will.
When officers arrived at the shed, behind a home in the Summerville Trailer Park, they found the man inside with a shotgun.
Officers managed to talk the man into putting the gun down and coming out.
Police seized the shotgun and a small amount of marijuana, the report said.
Charges are pending, police said.
