Four people, including a 2-year-old child, were examined for possible injuries after the car in which they were riding went out of control and struck a Westminster building about 9:12 p.m. Thursday.
Police said Rita Jayesh Jani, 34, of the 100 block of Marydell Drive, was driving a 1990 Subaru Legacy north on Washington Road at East Main Street when she failed to control her speed and struck the side of Bill's Produce.
Two of the occupants, identified as Kumndben P. Shah, 74, and Prabhudas Shah, 79, were taken to Carroll County General Hospital for treatment of chest pains.
Kumndben Shah was admitted to the hospital in fair condition. Prabhudas Shah was treated and released, hospital officials said.
Police said Rita Jani suffered minor injuries, which were treated at the scene by a medic unit.
The child, Ami J. Jani, was not injured.
All three adults in the vehicle were wearing safety belts, and the child was in a safety seat, police said.
