Oldfields triumphs, moves to title game

Junior Jodie Cowan broke a 6-6 halftime tie with two goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half to send Oldfields on its way to a 12-10 victory over Mercy yesterday in an Association of Independent Schools B Division Tournament semifinal.

Oldfields (7-2, 7-0) will face IND, a 9-7 winner over Park, in the final tomorrow at Garrison Forest.

Senior Nicole Brahim and junior Jen Widmer led Oldfields with three goals apiece. Senior Erin Schulze led all scorers with five goals for Mercy (4-7, 4-4).

Mercy outshot Oldfields, 20-19, and Oldfields senior Ngina Simpson made 10 saves.
