Here's what to look for if you are traveling in the Baltimor metropolitan area this week. This list of highway projects includes only newly announced work, not continuing construction, which is extensive on several highways, including Interstate 95, U.S. 50/301 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.
New highway projects
Chesapeake Bay Bridge (U.S. 50/301) -- Expect heavy traffic congestion and delays at and near the bridge today. The eastbound span of the bridge will be closed to motor traffic from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the annual Chesapeake Bay Bridge Walk. The westbound span will carry two-way traffic.
Reisterstown Road from Northern Parkway to the city line -- Beginning tomorrow and continuing through January 1994, expect roadway improvements including curbing, sidewalk, pavement repairs, a new blacktop surface and other work. Traffic flow will be maintained.
I-195 inbound and outbound from Route 170 to Baltimore-Washington International Airport Passenger Terminal -- Expect lane closures from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday through August. Also expect closures on the lower level roadway between the parking garage and the passenger terminal. Construction for drainage improvements on I-195 will occur during daylight hours. Access to all parking areas and the garage -- as well as all other facilities -- will remain available.
North and Southbound I-95 between Route 32 and Prince George's County line -- Expect double lanes closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. tomorrow through Friday for repairs to road surface.
Dulaney Valley Road at Fairmount Avenue -- Expect periodic closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow through Friday for milling, paving and geometric improvements.
I-695 Inner Loop between Frederick Road and Crosby roads -- Two left lanes will closed today from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. for overhead sign maintenance.
Philadelphia Road (Route 7) between Lenning Road and Rossville Boulevard -- Expect lanes closures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. tomorrow through Thursday. Mayflower Road access to and from Philadelphia Road has been temporarily eliminated during construction. Motorists should follow posted detours.
Seminary Avenue (Route 31) -- Expect lane closures for construction and utility work from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow through Saturday.
MTA bus route changes:

Towsontowne Spring Festival
These lines will be rerouted from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today due to the Towsontowne Spring Festival.
No. 8 (Towson service) -- Northbound via regular route on York Road, west on Alleghany Avenue, then south on Bosley Avenue to Chesapeake Avenue. Southbound on Bosley Avenue, east on the Towson Bypass, south on York Road, then via regular route.
No. 8 (Stella Maris service) -- Northbound via regular route. Southbound via regular route west on Alleghany Avenue to Washington Avenue, south on Bosley Avenue, east on the Towson Bypass, south on York Road, then via regular route.
No. 9 (Towson service) -- Southbound via regular route on Dulaney Valley Road and Joppa Road, west on Alleghany Avenue, then south on Bosley Avenue. When northbound, south on Bosley Avenue, east on Towsontowne Boulevard, north on York Road, then via regular route.
No. 11 (Towson service) -- Northbound regular route south on Bosley Avenue, east on Alleghany Avenue, south on York Road, west on Burke Avenue, then north on Bosley Avenue. When southbound, north on Bosley Avenue, then regular southbound route.
These lines will be rerouted Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the annual Flower Mart.
Nos. 3, 11, 31, 310, 311, 410 and 411 -- Northbound via regular route to Charles and Centre streets, east on Centre Street, north on Calvert Street, west on Chase Street, north on Charles Street, then via regular route. No change southbound.
