E. M. Maciekowich
Edna Mae Maciekowich, who was an elementary school principal in Baltimore and in Arizona, died Monday of cancer at her home in Tempe, Ariz. She was 63.
Before moving to Arizona, she had taught in Baltimore City public schools for nearly 20 years, and was a reading specialist and principal of a Southwest Baltimore school.
She was a reading specialist in Phoenix and then principal of three schools in Tempe before she retired in 1991.
The former Edna Mae Seltzer was a graduate of Towson State University and earned a master's degree at the University of Maryland.
She was a volunteer at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix.
A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Maciekowich was to be offered at 1 p.m. today at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Tempe.
She is survived by her husband, Zigmond D. Maciekowich.
Jack R. Posner

Jack R. Posner, a native of Baltimore who was in commercial real estate and the liquor business in Atlanta, died Sunday of heart failure at his home in Marco Island, Fla.
He was 83 and had moved to Marco Island about 10 years ago after he retired. He had lived for many years in Atlanta where he owned commercial real estate and Nookles Liquors.
He was a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland law school.
Graveside services for Mr. Posner were to be conducted at 10 a.m. today at the Marco Island Cemetery.
He is survived by two daughters, Marie Saxe of New York City and Emilie Hannigan of Los Angeles; a brother, Louis Posner of Baltimore; and a granddaughter.
