SHOOTING: Eastern District -- Five males, including two teen-agers, were shot Tuesday night by at least two gunmen in the 2500 block of Ashland Ave. All the wounded were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment. Four of the victims were standing together on the street around 10 p.m. when a man wearing a white jacket and dark pants and a second man approached and began firing from two semiautomatic handguns, hitting the four in the legs and feet. The fifth victim, a 17-year-old boy, was walking near the group and was shot in the face. Several cars parked on the street were hit by gunfire and police found nearly two dozen empty shell casings on the pavement. Police had no motive for the shootings and no arrests.
ASSAULT: Northern District -- A resident of the 2400 block of Brentwood Ave. was in the 2600 block of Quantico Ave. Tuesday night when a male acquaintance pointed a handgun at him.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2700 block of Ruscombe Lane Tuesday afternoon and stole jewelry and stereo equipment, all valued at more than $4,000.
ASSAULT/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a woman Tuesday and were holding her at the women's detention center at the Central District pending charges that she threatened to cut a man with a knife during an incident in the 2800 block of W. Garrison Ave.
ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 4100 block of Woodridge Ave. was in the 400 block of Gittings Ave. Tuesday night when a gunman robbed him of $20.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A TV valued at $400 was stolen from a house in the 700 block of Belgian Ave. Tuesday by someone who entered through a rear window.
STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1985 Toyota with Maryland tags SDC 561 was stolen Tuesday from Art Museum Drive.
PURSE SNATCH:PURSE SNATCH: Northern District -- A resident Owings Mills was in the first block of E. 22nd St. Tuesday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $200.
STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1986 Toyota owned by a resident of the 900 block of Winterhaven Ave. was stolen from the 5900 block of Northwood Drive Tuesday.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2500 block of Edgecombe Circle North Monday night through a bedroom window while the occupant was sleeping and stole property of unknown value.
SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- A 17-year-old resident of the 3800 block of Fairview Ave. is listed in good condition at the Liberty Medical Center after being shot in the head Tuesday night in the 2200 block of Roslyn Ave. The victim was walking on Gwynns Falls Parkway near Garrison Boulevard at 7:45 p.m. when one of four occupants of a blue car fired several shots at him. While the victim was running away, he was grazed in the left temple. A second bullet hit his right shoe. The car, taken in a carjacking on Monday, was recovered a short distance from the shooting scene, with several empty shell casings inside.
CARJACKING: Southwestern District -- Two men, one with a silver colored handgun, robbed a Baltimore County motorist of his 1989 Ford Escort with Maryland tags ARF 862 in the 3400 block of W. North Ave. Tuesday night. Before the gunman and his accomplice drove off, they robbed the motorist of $6 and a passenger in the car of $11.
ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 500 block of N. Edgewood St. was walking near her home Tuesday night when a man chased her down the street while pointing a handgun at her. The woman was not injured. Police said the incident was over her fighting with the gunman's girlfriend earlier.
ROBBERY TRY: Southwestern District -- A gunman attempted to rob a resident of the 800 block of Lyndhurst Ave. Tuesday night in the 800 block of Wildwood Parkway but walked away when the victim emptied his pockets and displayed a few coins.
ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 3600 block of Second St. in Brooklyn was inside a house in the 3700 block of Tenth St. Tuesday morning when a man struck him in the head with an ash tray and robbed him of $35.
ROBBERY: Southern District -- Two men attacked a resident of the 500 block of N. Stricker St. in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. Tuesday evening and robbed him of $20.
BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered a house undergoing renovation in the 1600 block of Poplin Street Tuesday and stole property valued at more than $1,300.
BURGLARY: Southern District -- Property valued at more than $700 was stolen from a house in the 900 block of S. Hanover St. Tuesday.
ARRESTS: Southern District -- Police arrested a man Tuesday when he attempted to leave the Safeway food market in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. without paying for items valued at more than $23. In the same store, a woman was arrested Tuesday when she tried to leave the store after stealing meats and juice valued at $26.
SHOOTING: Western District -- Two New York City men were shot Tuesday afternoon while walking in the 600 block of N. Monroe St. The men were admitted to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment of gunshot wounds to the legs.
BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 900 block of N. Carey St. Monday morning through a second floor window and stole tools valued at $200.
BURGLARY: Western District -- A 19-inch TV and food items, all valued at nearly $300, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1500 block of N. Appleton St.
THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a linen shop in the 2500 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Tuesday and stole cash and checks, all valued at nearly $1,600, from a safe.
THEFT: Western District -- A car phone valued at $1,000 was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 800 block of W. Baltimore St. Monday.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Property valued at more than $1,000 was stolen from a house in the 1600 block of N. Gilmor St. Tuesday by someone who entered through a rear window.
BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1900 block of Herbert St. through a rear door Tuesday and stole property valued at more than $2,000.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men robbed a homeless man of $12 Tuesday night in the 2800 block of W. Lafayette Ave.
THEFT: Central District -- A car owned by a resident of Towson was parked in the 1100 block of Cathedral St. Tuesday when someone entered and stole an in--- radio, speakers and a scanner, all valued at nearly $500.
THEFT: Central District -- Someone entered a car owned by a Catonsville resident while it was parked in the 200 block of W. Chase St. Tuesday and stole a leather coat, wallet and a 35mm camera, all valued at nearly $1,300.
THEFT: Central District -- A cellular phone, wool coat and a briefcase, all valued at nearly $400, were stolen Tuesday from a car parked in the 1100 block of N. Charles St.
ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- A gunman robbed the Family Dollar store in the 2300 block of N. Rolling Road Tuesday night and escaped with an undisclosed sum of money.
ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- Three men who implied they were armed robbed the Subway sandwich shop in the 8100 block of Liberty Road Tuesday night of nearly $200 and escaped on foot.
STABBING: White Marsh District -- A 43-year-old man was admitted to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center after he was stabbed in his home Tuesday evening. The man, a resident of the 5100 block of Meridy Ave. in Overlea, got up at 6:20 p.m. after taking a nap and was bending over to pet his dog when his wife allegedly stabbed him in the side. Charges against the wife were pending her release from Franklin Square Hospital, where she was taken for evaluation. The man's injury was not life threatening.
BURGLARY: White Marsh District -- Someone entered a house in the 7500 block of Mount Vista Road in Kingsville Tuesday and stole a 4-wheel all-terrain vehicle.
THEFT: Edgewood -- Someone stole more than $700 that was left on a counter Monday afternoon at the Fairlanes Bowling Center in the 1900 block of Pulaski Highway. An employee had put the money on the counter and noticed it missing a few minutes later.
