Ronald P. Kriss 58, an executive editor at Time magazine, died of complications from cancer Wednesday at the Robert Wood Johnson Rehabilitation Center in Edison, N.J. For almost a decade, Mr. Kriss was one of two executive editors at Time. His was the third-highest editing position. In his 30-year career at the magazine, he was in charge of hundreds of cover articles and wrote more than 40 himself, including articles on the Vietnam War, the art of diplomacy and President Lyndon B. Johnson.
