Police chief announces promotions Seven supervisory positions filled


Howard County Police Chief James N. Robey has announced seven supervisory promotions within the department.

Sgts. William Pollack, a 21-year veteran, and Nancy Yeager, a 14-year veteran, have been promoted to lieutenant. Lieutenant Pollack will become commander of the education and training division; Lieutenant Yeager will head the information management systems.

Detectives Kevin Burnett, a nine-year veteran; Gregory Marshall, five-year veteran; and Sandra Regler, a nine-year veteran, have been promoted to sergeant. Sergeants Burnett and Marshall will be assigned to patrol. Sergeant Regler will be assigned to the child abuse section.

Also promoted to sergeant were 18-year veteran PFC Bradford Thomas and William Donahue, a 10-year veteran. They will work in patrol.

The promotions were announced to fill seven supervisory vacancies.
