Ebright issues another appeal

Baltimore Skipjacks owner Tom Ebright made another plea to area hockey fans yesterday, asking for support to help keep a hockey franchise in Baltimore.

Ebright, wearing a personalized Skipjacks jersey, told the crowd of 3,207 after the first period of yesterday's game at the Baltimore Arena that 100 Skipjacks season-ticket holders had deposited $50 or more for season tickets for a possible ECHL team next year. On Friday night, after the first period of the Skipjacks' game against Rochester, Ebright also asked fans to make season-ticket deposits for next season.

"I know for many of you this is disappointing, but this is the only alternative," he said.

Ebright also announced prices for season tickets for the 34 home games next year: $290 for premium lower-level seats, $225 for middle concourse and $160 for upper level. A 5 percent discount will be extended to current season-ticket holders.

Individual game ticket prices will be $9 for premium, $7 for middle concourse, $6 for behind the goal and $5 for upper level. Tickets for children under 12 and senior citizens will be $5.
