Mildred Hoffmeister Rossville activist

Mldred V. Hoffmeister, who had been active in the Rossville and Rosedale communities, died Wednesday at Keswick of complications of Alzheimer's disease. She was 86.

Mrs. Hoffmeister, a resident of the Rossville area for many years, was a former president of the Rosedale Woman's Club, a member of the Rosedale Recreation Council, a Red Cross volunteer during World War II and a member of the Women's Guild at Zion Evangelical Lutheran United Church of Christ.

The former Mildred V. Seltzer was a native of Baltimore and a 1925 graduate of Eastern High School.

Her husband, farmer Henry J. Hoffmeister, died in 1971.

Services were conducted Friday at the Lassahn Funeral Home in Overlea.

Mrs. Hoffmeister is survived by two daughters, Mildred A. Kahler of Timonium and Jean Wagner of Cambridge; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
