N.Y. suspends driver Case

NEW YORK -- The New York State Racing and Wagering Board indefinitely suspended world-champion harness driver Walter Case Jr. yesterday, alleging he tested positive for cocaine March 9.

"Mr. Case is ineligible to participate in New York as of today," said board counsel Robert Feuerstein, who would not provide details. "We have tentatively set a hearing for Tuesday to discuss the matter."
