T. J. Lanaghan will play Irish music and there will be a reading of Irish poetry from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Cover To Cover Bookstore Cafe in the Owen Brown Shopping Center.

The school's "Author-in-Residence" program and 20th Birthday Celebration will benefit from the evening's proceeds.

"Alert I.D." will be present to make fingerprint identification cards for the children. Highlights of the event will be a silent auction and bingo.

Auction items and bingo prizes are donated by area businesses and parents.

... Dasher Green Elementary students are helping their PTA raise money for the school's proposed playground project.

... Robert Coe's "Drawings and Paintings" are featured in an art exhibit beginning Thursday and running through April 17 at the Columbia Art Center, 6100 Foreland Garth in Long Reach Village Shopping Center.

The public is invited to the opening reception Thursday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Mr. Coe, art director for a Baltimore design firm, specializes in visual communications technology.
