Students play in festival

East Middle band students recently participated in the annual Carroll County Solo Ensemble Festival which took place at Western Maryland College in Westminster in February.

Student performers included:

Libby Johnson and Kristen Lambert, flute duo;

Jamie Horneff, Carrie Kreider and Sarah Kacmarski, flute trio;

Stephanie Wilmsen, Amber Albro, Jessica Woodruff and Brennan Bouma, clarinet quartet;

Jessica Clay, Laurie Henze and Stacy Hyle, clarinet trio;

Scott Livesay, Don Louey, Casy Norris, Tommy Malehorn and Zach Rhoad, percussion ensemble.

Solo appearances were made by David Malehorn, tuba; Brennan Bouma, bass clarinet and Libby John son, flute.

POLICE

* Westminster: A Taneytown woman reported that someone damaged the locks of her car while it was parked in the rear of East Main Street on Tuesday. The damage estimate is about $100.

Two windows of the Photomat booth at the Crossroads Square Shopping Center were broken Tuesday.
