ROBBERY TRY: Northern District -- A gunman attempted to rob the Super Fresh market in the 6300 block of York Road Monday night but failed when a customer talked the man out of it after two clerks either refused or were unable to open their cash registers. After the man entered the store at 8 p.m., he grabbed a clerk and told her to open her cash register. When the woman struggled with the man, he pulled out a gun and ordered a second clerk to open her register. When the second clerk became excited, a customer, Richard Baumer, 38, of Towson, walked up to the man and said, "It's not worth it." With that, the gunman walked out the front door.
THEFT: Northern District -- A resident of the 500 block of Richwood Ave. was in the 5100 block of York Road Tuesday when a man she knows snatched $20 from her hands and fled.
THEFT: Northern District -- A 10-speed bike valued at nearly $200 was stolen from outside a house in the 700 block of E. 37th St. Tuesday afternoon.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a garage in the 4200 block of Underwood Road Tuesday and stole a 10-speed bike valued at more than $300.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A VCR valued at nearly $300 was stolen from a house in the 2700 block of Manhattan Ave. Tuesday morning.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 4100 block of St. George's Ave. Tuesday and stole a telephone and a telephone book.
THEFT/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a teen-age boy Tuesday night after he attempted to leave a 7 Eleven store in the 4400 block of York Road without paying for several articles.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Stereo equipment, at least one camera and cash, all valued at more than $4,000, were stolen from a house in the 1100 block of Gittings Ave. Tuesday morning.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A TV, a VCR and a tape deck, all valued at more than $600, were stolen from a house in the first block of Hadley Square Tuesday.
THEFT: Northern District -- Property valued at $20 was stolen from a car parked in the 300 block of E. 30th St. between Monday night and Tuesday morning.
ROBBERY: Western District -- A deliveryman for Pizz-A-Bolis in the first block of E. Cross St. was in the 200 block of N. Fremont Ave. Tuesday night when a man robbed him of his watch and $98.
ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1100 block of N. Stricker St. was in the 300 block of N. Stricker St. Wednesday night when she was robbed of her watch, coat and jewelry, all valued at more than $900, by a man who threatened to injure her.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men with handguns robbed a resident of the 3100 block of Presbury St. of $70, a gold bracelet and a ring in the 500 block of N. Monroe St. Wednesday afternoon.
SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- Two men were shot and wounded and a third was nearly shot Wednesday afternoon by a gunman in the 4100 block of Park Heights Ave. Taken to Sinai Hospital for treatment were a resident of the 2600 block of Loyola Southway and a resident of the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Escaping injury was a man who lives in the 4100 block of Park Heights Ave. The gunman escaped.
RAPE: Northwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who entered a woman's home in the 2900 block of Garrison Blvd. Tuesday afternoon and raped her. The woman was treated at Mercy Medical Center.
STOLEN CARS: Northwestern District -- In apparent unrelated incidents, three cars with handicapped tags were stolen Wednesday at separate locations. A 1978 Buick was stolen from the 5300 block of Park Heights Ave.; a 1985 Oldsmobile was stolen from the 3900 block of Falstaff Road; and a 1988 Oldsmobile Delta 88 was stolen from the 3800 block of Greenspring Ave.
ROBBERY: Garrison District -- A man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed I Can't Believe It's Yogurt in the 1400 block of Reisterstown Road Wednesday and escaped with an undisclosed sum of money.
