His accomplishments: He serves as Student Government Association president and as a Maryland Association of Student Council voting delegate.

He's one of the school's peer mediators and part of its Cultural Awareness Club and its Operation DARE program. He has been a member of the freshman and sophomore class boards and was active on several homecoming committees. He sings in concert choir and madrigals. He runs indoor track and plays varsity tennis.

Outside of school, he bakes bread for his church and helped raise money for the Children's Brain Disease Foundation.

His comments: People need to overcome stereotypes and look at people as individuals, not as groups. I think the media has something to do with it, but a lot of it has to do with what goes on at home."

His goals: He'd like to study computer science in college and then attend law school, with a specialty in corporate law.
