Announced that Willie Stargell, roving hitting instructor, will become special assistant to the director of scouting and player development.

California Angels -- Agreed to terms with P Scott Sanderson on a one-year contract.

Houston Astros -- Agreed to terms with former Orioles P Pete Harnisch on a one-year contract.
