Wednesday-Sunday: Greater Philadelphia Sport, Travel and Outdoor Show at the Fort Washington (Pa.) Expo Center. Weekday hours are 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.; show opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Call (603) 431-4315.

Friday-Sunday: Mid-Atlantic Hunting and Fishing Show at Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium. Exhibitors from Mid-Atlantic states, the Southeast, New England, Midwest and Eastern Canada. Seminars covering fresh and saltwater fishing,

deer and turkey hunting, dog handling, etc. Live animal exhibits, fly casting and archery demonstrations. Show hours are 1-10 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Jan. 29-31: The Fly Fishing Show at the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset, N.J. Billed as the largest fly-fishing show in -- the world. Hundreds of exhibitors, including guide services, rod and reel manufacturers and vendors, fly tying materials and expertise. Seminars will be conducted by Lefty Kreh, Gary LaFontaine, Dick Talleur, Ed Jaworowski, Bob Clouser, Gary Borger and others. Show hours are 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with openings at 9 a.m. the other two days. Admission on Friday is $5 and $10 on Saturday and Sunday. Call (800) 848-1020.

Feb. 6-14: Chesapeake Bay Boat Show at the Baltimore Convention Center. Hundreds of boats, engines and marine accessories on sale at show prices. Seminars on freshwater and saltwater fishing, water skiing clinics, basic boating workshops. Show opens at 11 a.m. on weekends and 5 p.m. on weekdays. Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Feb. 12 is family day; children under 12 will be admitted free when accompanied by a parent. Call (215) 449-9910.


Tuesday: Meeting of Maryland Chapter of Trout Unlimited at IOOF Hall, 511 York Road, 7:30 p.m. Robert Bachman of the DNR will speak about results of electroshocking survey of the Gunpowder and the coming season. The public is welcome.

Wednesday: Free State Flyfishers fly-tying class at Hillsmere Elementary School in Annapolis, 7:30 p.m. The public is welcome.

Sunday: Trout Fishing Clinic at Wheaton High School outside ZTC Washington, sponsored by the Potomac-Patuxent Chapter of Trout Unlimited, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rod building, flycasting, fly tying, flea market and retail vendor displays. Admission is $3 with a maximum of $7 for families of three or more. Children
