Crofton chamber panel to study traffic problems on Route 3
The Crofton Chamber of Commerce has established a committee to study traffic concerns on Route 3 between U.S. 50 in Annapolis and Route 32 in Gambrills.
Of particular interest are the State Highway Adminstration's plans to upgrade Routes 3, 424 and 450.
Representatives from the chamber met with SHA officials and representatives from the Crofton Civic Association, the Greater Crofton Council and Bowie.
The chamber, which has been trying to reinvigorate itself after months of inactivity, wants to give area businesses a strong voice in affairs, particularly transportation, Executive Director Tony Cannetti said in a recent interview.
Attorney Thomas Callahan has been named chairman of the new committee, which will meet this month to put together a plan.
Any chamber member interested in joining this committee should call Mr. Callahan at 261-0005. Any business interested in information on this issue should call Mr. Cannetti at 721-9131.
