Planners OK site plans for 77 homes in Brightfield 0) subdivision
The county Planning Board approved site development plans this week for 77 homes for the 3-year-old Brightfield subdivision in lower Ellicott City.
One of the plans will allow Ryan Homes to obtain building permits for 58 detached houses along Brightlight Place. The other will allow N-V Homes to obtain permits to build 19 town houses, also on Brightlight Place.
The use of both sites for homebuilding was approved by the board in 1988 as part of Brightfield, Section 2, which has 132 homes.

* Elkridge: 1200 block of Montgomery Road: Two child safety seats were stolen from a 1989 Jeep Cherokee parked at the Super Fresh Food Market Tuesday afternoon.
5100 block of Montgomery Road: A window to a house for sale was broken the night of Nov. 20. There was no entry.
* Ellicott City: 10200 block of Tuscany Road: The car window of a Cutlass Ciera was broken overnight Monday.
3700 block of Maryland Avenue: A 1993 Honda CVR motorcycle was stolen Monday night.
9900 block of Postwick Drive: A bike was stolen from a house between Nov. 17 and 22. Police say the theft may have been domestic-related.
