Here's what to look for if you are traveling in the Baltimore metropolitan area this week.
New highway projects
I-695 west-side inner loop -- Expect lane closures between U.S. 40 and Security Boulevard early today. All lanes will reopen at 10 a.m. with new traffic patterns shifting all lanes in the area of Security Boulevard to the left.
I-695 west-side outer loop -- Today, from 10 p.m. through 4 a.m. tomorrow, two left lanes between Wilkens Avenue and I-95 will be closed for deck repairs over Benson Ave.
I-695 east-side inner loop -- Through 10 a.m. today, the two right lanes will be closed between Old Harford Road and Putty Hill Road for roadway milling. Also, from 11 tonight through 5 a.m. tomorrow, the two left lanes will be closed.
I-695 east-side outer loop -- Expect delays and lane closures during bridge construction between Belair Road and Perring Parkway from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. tomorrow through Wednesday. Two lanes may be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
I-695 inner and outer loop -- Expect single and double lane closures today through Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. between U.S. 40 and Route 26.
U.S 50/301 -- Expect lane closures and traffic pattern shifts between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. tomorrow through Tuesday on eastbound and westbound lanes between the Patuxent River and I-97.
U.S 50/Route 424 -- Expect lane closures and traffic pattern shifts on U.S. 50 between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. tonight through Tuesday for work on new Davidsonville Road bridges.
I-95 southbound, Route 32 to Route 216 -- Expect two right lanes to be closed until 5 a.m. tomorrow.
I-95 northbound, Route 216 to Route 32 -- Expect two right lanes to be closed until 5 a.m. tomorrow.
Temporary bus routes
Nos. 7, 10 -- Effective until further notice, these bus lines will be temporarily rerouted because of construction work on Lombard Street between Market and Hopkins places: Northbound Nos. 7 and 10 lines will travel regular route to Central Avenue, north on Central, west on Fayette Street, north on Howard Street (No. 10 only) or north on Paca Street (No. 7 only), then via regular route. Northbound buses on the No. 7 line that serve President Street will travel regular route on President Street to Lombard Street, north on President, west on Fayette, north on Paca, then via regular route.
