SHOOTING/ARREST: Southern District -- Steven B. Norwood, 17, of the 2900 block of Mosher St., was listed in serious condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center after being shot in the chest Sunday afternoon during a robbery attempt in Cherry Hill. The youth was driving a car north in the 3400 block of Round Road at 4:50 p.m. when a man flagged him down. While talking to the man, a teen-ager with a gun approached the car and demanded the victim's gold chain. When young Norwood attempted to drive off, the gunman fired one shot, striking the victim in the chest. Though wounded, the teen-ager managed to drive home. From there he was taken by ambulance to Shock Trauma. Later, police arrested a 15-year-old resident of the 600 block of Roundview Road, and were holding him at the station pending charges. A second suspect, a 19-year-old Cherry Hill man, is being sought.

ASSAULT: Western District -- A resident of the 1600 block of N. Calhoun St. was injured early Sunday morning when a man she knows struck her with a bottle and threatened to cut her with a knife during an incident at her home.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men attacked a resident of the 1200 block of Hollins St. Sunday morning in the 1300 block of W. Fayette St. and robbed him of cash and food stamps, all valued at nearly $200.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone broke into a 1988 Chevrolet van Sunday in the 1600 block of W. North Ave. and stole clothing, jewelry, a compact disc player, tools and paint.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two residents of the 2500 block of Druid Hill Ave. were robbed of cash, clothing and jewelry, all valued at more than $1,000, Sunday evening by two men, one with a gun, in the 600 block of N. Arlington Ave.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one with a gun, robbed two east Baltimore residents of their money and a pair of tennis shoes Sunday afternoon in the 2300 block of Windsor Ave.

ROBBERY: Western District -- An out-of-town resident was in the 2100 block of W. Lexington St. during the weekend when he was robbed of $400, a watch, tennis shoes and a jacket, all valued at nearly $900, by two men, one with a gun.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 200 block of N. Payson St. of $22 and a jacket valued at more than $200 Saturday morning in the 1800 block of Penrose Ave.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 2500 block of W. Fayette St. was robbed of his leather jacket, valued at more than $200, Saturday morning in the 100 block of N. Warwick Ave. by two men, one with a gun.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1900 block of Hollins St. and one from the 300 block of N. Fulton Ave. were robbed of their jackets, valued at $72, Friday night by a gunman in the first block of N. Pulaski St.

ROBBERY: Western District -- An out-of-town resident was robbed of $200 Friday night by a gunman who ordered him out of his car in the 1500 block of N. Monroe St.

RAPE: Western District -- A woman was raped Friday night by a man posing as an unlicensed taxicab driver. After the man picked the woman up in the 1600 block of W. North Ave., he drove her to an unknown location and raped her. Before driving away, the man robbed the woman of cash and property, all valued at more than $200. The woman was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment and released.

ROBBERY TRY/CUTTING: Western District -- A resident of the 5900 block of Radecke Ave. was cut on the face with a knife Saturday evening by a man who attempted to rob him of his car in the 1300 block of W. Baltimore St. When the man tried to force his way into the car, the motorist tried to push him away but was cut. He was taken to Bon Secours Hospital for treatment and released.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two residents of the 4200 block of Belvieu Ave. were robbed of $198 Saturday afternoon in the 2400 block of Warwick Ave. by two men, one with a gun.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 2200 block of Ruskin Ave. was robbed of his leather coat Saturday night by two men, one with a gun, on the 1800 block of Elgin Ave.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 2500 block of Calverton Heights Ave. of $2 Saturday night in the 800 block of Warwick Ave.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A man stole a purse containing cash and property, all valued at nearly $200, from a woman in the first block of S. Kossuth St. Saturday night.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 3600 block of Eversley St. Saturday night and stole a VCR valued at $400.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- A briefcase containing checks, cash, and business papers was stolen Sunday when someone broke into a car parked in the 3100 block of Baker St. Sunday morning.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- A bike valued at $100 was stolen Saturday from in front of a house in the 500 block of S. Beechfield Ave.

ROBBERY/ASSAULT: Northern District -- A 15-year-old girl was forced to accompany a gunman to a vacant lot near the 500 block of E. 25th St. around 6 a.m. Sunday where the man sexually assaulted her before robbing her of three bracelets and $25. After the man fled, the girl was taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment and was released.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Musical instruments valued at more than $2,500 were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 2800 block of Guilford Ave. by someone who entered through a second-story window.

AUTO THEFT: Northern District -- A 1986 Ford Taurus with Maryland plates NYJ 560 was stolen Sunday from the 600 block of Willow Ave.

THEFT: Northern District -- A tape recorder and cash, all valued at nearly $170, were stolen over the weekend from a car parked in the 200 block of Oakdale Road.

THEFT/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a man Sunday who attempted to leave the Farm Fresh store in the 5600 block The Alameda without paying for items of undisclosed value.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the first block of E. 25th St. during the weekend with a pry tool and stole a TV and a VCR, all valued at nearly $2,000.

THEFT: Northern District -- Property valued at nearly $4,400 was stolen from a house in the 400 block of Hawthorne Road between Nov. 8 and Sunday.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone smashed a car window in the 5800 block of Halwyn Road over the weekend and stole a coat and a purse valued at $240 from the vehicle.

VANDALISM: Parkville District -- Someone damaged a mailbox at the corner of Edgefield Road and Richmond Avenue early Sunday morning by placing an explosive device in it. Police said a door and several pieces of mail inside the box were damaged in the 1:40 a.m. explosion. Postal authorities removed the mailbox and were investigating the incident.

ARRESTS: Garrison District -- Two Pikesville youths were arrested early today and charged with stealing a 1991 Honda from a house on Brightside Avenue. When the car was spotted around 2 a.m. by Officers William Lally and Larry Smith, the youths ran from the car at Chickory Hill Lane and Scotts Level Road. Following a chase that also included K-9 Officer Jeffrey Lauer and his German shepherd, the two youths were captured without injury. The youths, both 15, were held overnight at the police station pending action by juvenile authorities.

BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- 400 cartons of cigarettes worth more than $700 were stolen early Saturday morning after someone entered the Rite Aid pharmacy in the 2100 block of York Road through the front door. Police were on the scene in less than three minutes after the burglar alarm went off, but the thieves had already stolen the property and escaped.
