Police seize hashish, arrest 4 in Edgewood
A raid last Tuesday at an Edgewood apartment led to four arrests and the seizure of three ounces of hashish and an ounce of marijuana, police said.
Arrested at an apartment in the 600 block of Edgewood Road and charged with intent to distribute hashish were Renee Gail Randolf, 21, Robert Scott Fiesel, 20, and Derek Donovan Garcia, 20.
Christopher Charles Milland, 19, and a 17-year-old jumped from a third-floor balcony as members of the Covert Operation Division of the Harford County Sheriff's Office entered the apartment.
Mr. Milland ran into a wooded area and was arrested last Wednesday on a grand jury indictment on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
The juvenile, who was not charged, broke a leg in the jump and was treated at Harford Memorial Hospital.
Police said the seized hashish would bring $1,300 on the street and the marijuana, $160.
Judge orders Pa. man to pay back child support
A 44-year-old fugitive, suspected of failing to pay more than $35,000 in child support, was freed from the Harford County Detention Center last Tuesday after paying $10,000 bail and agreeing to begin payments of $500 a month.
Edward Charles McLaughlin Jr. was arrested at his home in Newtown Square, Pa., last Friday during a pre-dawn raid by Harford sheriff's deputies, with assistance from Pennsylvania law enforcement officers.
Mr. McLaughlin waived extradition and appeared last Tuesday in Harford Circuit Court, where Judge William O. Carr ordered him to return with an attorney on Dec. 22 for a hearing on civil and criminal contempt charges.
The monthly payments are $400 for current child support and $100 for missed payments.
The Harford Paternity and Support Enforcement Unit has sought Mr. McLaughlin since September 1990.
