City police charged a Tennessee man with robbery, theft and handgun violations Monday in a June robbery at the Super Fresh Market on Englar Road in Westminster.
Donald Wayne Gilliam, 27, is charged with one count of using a handgun in commission of a crime, battery, two counts of robbery and theft, and four counts each of assault and robbery with a deadly weapon.
He has been held in the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson since July on another robbery charge.
Westminster police said the suspect walked into the store in the 400 block of Englar Road about 1:30 p.m. June 20 and waited outside the customer service cubicle until an employee exited. The robber forced his way in, pointed a semiautomatic pistol at workers and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No one was injured in the robbery.
