St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 7859 Tick Neck Road, will sponsor its fall bazaar from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow.
Shop for handmade gifts, holiday decorations, plants, treasures from the white elephant table, baked goods and a children's gift room.
Raffle tickets will be sold on several items, including a cruise for four on the Lady Baltimore and an overnight stay at Guest Quarters.
Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and light supper items including, Jane's Famous Chili and Mary's Chicken Salad, ham and cheese sandwiches and hot dogs, will be featured.
Proceeds will benefit church activities.

Community United Methodist Church, 8680 Fort Smallwood Road, will sponsor an Oyster and Ham Supper from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow.
The cost for dinner is $8 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 11, $1 for youngsters ages 3 to 5 and toddlers under age three can eat for free. Carry-out dinners are available for $8.50.
After dinner you can shop for homemade gifts at the fancy table, look for treasures at the white elephant table or buy some sinfully delicious cakes or homemade candies at the bake table.

A conflict with National Collegiate Athletic Association rules has forced the postponement of Monday's program on college athletic scholarship at Chesapeake High School.
The program, presented by the athletic department of the University of Maryland Baltimore County, has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 16 in the CHS media center.
Parents, high school students and eighth-graders are invited to attend.

Jacobsville Elementary PTA will offer a special program on AIDS for parents at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Dr. Lani Majer, from the county Health Department, will offer information on ways parents can educate their elementary school-aged children about the virus.
Due to the content of the program, no children will be permitted to attend. Parents should make arrangements for child care.
The program is a cooperative effort of the health department and the school.

Lake Shore PTO invites parents and children to a presentation on bicycle safety at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.
John Overstreet, better known as "The Bicycle Man," will present an informative program for parents and a video for children, specifically geared to kindergarten through sixth grade students.
"Riding a bike safely, including using a helmet, is an important skill that children and adults should learn," Debbie Hutchinson, PTO president said.
Hutchinson said most bike riders -- children and adults -- do not use safety helmets. "Some people think that helmets are expensive, but it's a small price to pay to help prevent serious injuries."
As a service to parents, the PTO will be taking orders for helmets, available at a discount. Sample helmets will be displayed and instructions will be provided on proper fitting. Helmets will be delivered in time for Christmas.

Chesapeake Bay Middle School has scheduled parent-teacher conferences for Nov. 19 and 20. A request for a conference can be made by either a parent or a child's teacher.
Teacher requests for conferences were mailed Oct. 26.
Parents who did not receive an invitation to a conference, may request team or individual conferences by calling their student's guidance counselor at 437-2400 between 8:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. on Nov. 10 to request a team conference (please specify the teachers you wish to meet with) or Nov. 12 to request an individual teacher conference.
All conferences will be approximately 15 minutes long.

The human relations committees at Fort Smallwood Elementary and Jacobsville Elementary schools are sponsoring the annual Thanksgiving food drive from Nov. 9 through 18.
Families are asked to donate non-perishable food items that will be given to local needy families during the holidays.
