ROBBERY: Western District -- A woman was robbed of $40 Tuesday evening in the 1300 block of N. Stricker St. by a man who struck her with a stick.
STABBING Central District -- Brian Tyner, 21, of the 200 block of N. Amity St. was stabbed in the chest and right forearm about 5 a.m. Thursday during an argument over money with another man in an apartment at 701 W. Mulberry St., a high-rise complex. Mr. Tyner was taken by ambulance to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was listed in serious condition. Shortly after the stabbing, police arrested a 44-year-old resident of the apartment and were holding him at the Central District pending charges.
THEFT Central District -- Someone broke a window in a 1989 Toyota in the first block of E. Lanvale St. Tuesday night and stole a stereo radio and cassette tapes valued at a total of $400.
THEFT Central District -- A radar detector and compact discs, all valued at nearly $1,000, were stolen from a 1990 Mazda Tuesday while it was parked in the 200 block of E. Monument St.
THEFT Central District -- Property valued at $50 was stolen from a car parked in the first block of E. Lanvale St. Tuesday morning by someone who entered by breaking a window.
ROBBERY Western District -- A resident of the 1500 block of N. Kenwood Ave. was robbed of her purse containing $11 Wednesday night by a man who knocked her to the pavement in the 1900 block of Westwood Ave.
ROBBERY Western District -- A robber took $35 from a resident of the 2300 block of Winchester St. while she was walking near her home Tuesday night.
ROBBERY Western District -- Three men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 1600 block of N. Fulton Ave. of a leather jacket valued at $200 in the 1600 block of Baker St. Wednesday night.
ROBBERY Southwestern District -- A man armed with a knife entered Thorn Reality Inc. in the 3400 block of Clifton Ave. Wednesday afternoon and forced an employee to give up money belonging to the firm.
THEFT Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 100 block of Palormo St. Wednesday and stole property valued at nearly $150.
AUTO THEFT Southwestern District -- A 1990 Honda was stolen Wednesday from the 1900 block of Edgewood St.
ASSAULT Southwestern District -- A resident of the 1900 block of Wilkens Ave. was treated at St. Agnes Hospital for a cut on the head after he was struck with a bottle during an argument with another man near his home Wednesday night.
THEFT Northern District -- U.S. postage stamps worth nearly $30 were stolen Wednesday morning from an office at the Johns Hopkins University in the 3400 block of N. Charles St.
THEFT Northern District -- A ladder and an electric drill, all valued at nearly $300, were stolen from the backyard of a house in the 4500 block of Eastway between Oct. 30 and Wednesday.
BURGLARY Northern District -- Someone broke into a garage in the 1000 block of Dartmouth Road Wednesday and stole a motorcycle with state license plates 2759D3. The vehicle was valued at $4,200.
ROBBERY Northern District -- Two teen-agers, one armed with a knife, robbed a resident of the 2400 block of Loyola Northway of a $600 gold necklace over the weekend near the victim's home.
THEFT Northern District -- A coat and a set of keys, all valued at $84, were stolen from an unlocked locker at the Johns Hopkins University in the 3400 block of N. Charles St. Wednesday afternoon.
BURGLARY Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 3500 block of Ash St. through a door Wednesday and stole $700.
BURGLARY Northern District -- An 18-speed mountain bike valued at $500 was stolen from a garage in the 3900 block of N. Charles St. Wednesday evening.
THEFT Northern District -- A 35mm camera valued at $240 was stolen Tuesday from a 1986 Honda parked in the 3000 block of Rosalind Ave.
BURGLARY Northern District -- A sports bag and a compact disc player, all valued at $365, were stolen Wednesday from a home in the 300 block of E. University Parkway.
BURGLARY Northern District -- A VCR, jewelry, telephone, camera, a computer game and stereo equipment, all valued at $1,820, were stolen Wednesday from a home in the 3600 block of Cottage Ave.
BURGLARY Northern District -- Someone entered the bedroom of a house in the 1000 block of Upnor Road Wednesday and stole several pieces of jewelry and a video game, all valued at nearly $1,000.
THEFT Northern District -- A man walked into the Royal Farm store in the 1100 block of W. 41st St. Wednesday night and stole two sub sandwiches valued at nearly $6.
BURGLARY Western District -- More than $200 worth of copper piping was stolen Tuesday from a vacant house in the 2300 block of McMechen St.
ROBBERY Western District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 1700 block of N. Pulaski St. of $715 Tuesday evening in the 1900 block of Presbury St.
ROBBERY Western District -- A resident of the 1200 block of N. Bentalou St. was attacked outside his home Tuesday evening by a man who knocked him to the pavement and robbed him of $6.
BURGLARY Western District -- Clothing and jewelry, all valued at $700, were stolen Tuesday afternoon from a house in the 2400 block of Calverton Heights Ave.
ROBBERY Western District -- THEFT: Central District -- A hand truck valued at $135 was stolen Tuesday from a truck parked in the 200 block of McMechen St.
ROBBERY Western District -- A man threatened to shoot a young girl walking with her mother in the 800 block of N. Gilmor St. Tuesday night unless the mother gave up her money. The robber got $45.
CARJACKING Western District -- A man who implied he had a gun took another man's 1982 Mazda Wednesday morning in the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Ave.
ROBBERY Western District -- A resident of the 1300 block of N. Bentalou St. was struck over the head with a hard object by a man in the 1900 block of W. Lafayette Ave. Tuesday morning. The man stole the victim's keys and drove off in her 1987 Chrysler.
BURGLARY Western District -- Someone entered through the rear door of a house in the 3100 block of Auchentoroly Terrace Tuesday night or Wednesday morning and stole property valued at nearly $300.
BURGLARY Western District -- Copper piping valued at nearly $200 was stolen from a house in the 900 block of N. Mount St. by someone who entered through a rear door. The theft occurred between Oct. 14 and Wednesday.

ROBBERY Northern District -- Two men with guns robbed two residents of the 4700 block of Alhambra Ave. of $312 in cash and property Wednesday morning in the back yard of a house in the 500 block of Oakland Ave.
ASSAULT Northern District -- A resident of the 2400 block of Loyola Northway was treated at Sinai Hospital Wednesday for a head injury that he reported receiving at his home when a woman he knows struck him with a piece of lead pipe.
AUTO THEFT Northern District -- A 1989 Hyundai with state license plates PHJ-177 was stolen from the 100 block of Oakdale Road Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
THEFT Northern District -- A bike valued at $150 was stolen Monday or Tuesday from the rear yard of a house in the 3000 block of Elm Ave.
BURGLARY Southwestern District -- Someone with a key got into an apartment in the 4100 block of Stokes Road Wednesday and stole a VCR and a movie tape valued at $240.

ARREST White Marsh District -- A Baltimore man was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with shoplifting several jackets from the Hecht Co. at Golden Ring Mall and cutting store security officer John Davids on the wrist with a screwdriver during a chase. The man attempted to commandeer a truck on U.S. 40 near the Beltway, but he was caught by Mr. Davids,
another security officer and an off-duty city police officer. The jackets were recovered. Held overnight in lieu of $30,000 bail and charged with shoplifting, assault and assault with a deadly weapon was Vernon Gregory Thomas, 31, of the 5400 block of Sarril Road, police said.
ROBBERY North Point District -- A man armed with a silver-plated handgun robbed the Spirit of '76 liquors in the 4200 block of North Point Blvd. Wednesday night of an undisclosed sum.
BURGLARY Towson District -- Someone entered a house under construction in the first block of Coachmont Court between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning through a rear sliding glass door and stole several appliances, all valued at $2,000.
BURGLARY TRY Towson District -- The padlocks on an outdoor storage shed behind MIE Investments in the 800 block of Gleneagles Court were broken by someone who failed to gain entry.
THEFT Cockeysville District -- An amplifier, speakers, an equalizer, wallet and a credit card, all valued at more than $500, were stolen Wednesday from a Jeep parked outside a home in the 1400 block of Jarrettsville Pike in Monkton.
ARREST Cockeysville District -- Steven Jordan, 38, of the first block of Bon Bon Court, Reisterstown, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with burglarizing a house in the 16900 block of Flickerwood Road, Parkton. Mr. Jordan was arrested while jogging on Mount Carmel Road by two police officers after the occupant of the house saw two men ransacking rooms in her home and called police from a neighbor's house. Police said the second man escaped.
Harford County
ARREST Edgewood -- Trooper Ricky Eilerman of the Bel Air Barracks arrested a teen-age boy Tuesday night and charged him with breaking into a house in the 2000 block of Morgan St. through a window and stealing $6. The money was recovered and the youth was released into the custody of his parents pending action by juvenile authorities.
