FRIGHT NIGHT: Among the Halloween events:
* Walk among the dead from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Westminster Burying Ground and Catacombs, Fayette and Green streets. This annual tour takes you to Edgar Allan Poe's grave and into the catacombs where some of our city's founding fathers are buried. Macabre music from a restored 1882 Johnson Pipe Organ and ghostly appearances by nearby University of Maryland Medical School's resident grave robber, among others, should brew a phantasmagoric experience. * Treat the children to spine-tingling ghost stories from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow. At Top of the World's "Trick or Read" day, youngsters can win Halloween books, a free pass to the Maryland Science Center, and participate in a costume contest. Prizes awarded those in the scariest, funniest, most original and most creative costumes. Top of the World is on the World Trade Center's 27th floor, 401 E. Pratt St. Information: 837-4515.
* Show off your costume, get some exercise and maybe win a prize tomorrow at the National Aquarium's first "Dolphin Dash" 5K Halloween race. The event begins at 4 p.m. on Key Highway near Covington Avenue. The $13 registration fee includes a post-race party next to the Spirit of Baltimore and a long-sleeve Dolphin Dash T-shirt. * Stay up 'til the wee hours tomorrow -- on the Halloween Insomniac Tour from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. See Baltimore skyline at night, ride turn-of-the-century trolleys and visit the grave of Edgar Allan Poe. The tour begins at the driveway of the National Aquarium, 501 E. Pratt St. Cost: $37.50 per person. Reservations needed. Information: 653-2998.

AND ON THURSDAY. . .: More than 15 merchants are conducting a canned food drive next week to benefit Project Hunger. The drive is part of Downtown Partnership's First
Thursdays program, in which art galleries and shops along North Charles Street extend their hours from 5 p.m. to at least 7:30 p.m. one day each month for special events and exhibits.
Merchants will be accepting donations next week from Monday to Friday. Thursday's events include a wine tasting at the Peabody Library to benefit Santa Claus Anonymous, and a lecture, "Elvis: The Eternal Power of Eternal Images," at the Walters Art Gallery. Information: 244-1030.
