Two charged in Basics meat theft

County police charged a man and a woman with theft after guards at a Pasadena supermarket said they saw the pair stealing meat Saturday.

Police say security officers at the Basics grocery store in the 8000 block of Ritchie Highway called police at 4 p.m. after they allegedly caught the pair with several packages of steaks. John Clark Aarron, 38, of the 16000 block of Old Frederick Road in Mount Airy and Janice Sacker, 29, of the 7900 block of Crossway Road in Glen Burnie, were taken to Eastern District to be charged.

Lone gunman robs Pasadena gas station

A lone gunman held up a Pasadena gas station Saturday night, county police reported yesterday.

Investigators said the gunman walked up to the clerk of the Sunoco station in the 500 block of Ritchie Highway at 7 p.m. and demanded money. The clerk gave the robber the money and he left the station.


* A Pasadena woman told police someone smashed her mailbox Friday at her home in the 100 block of Magothy Beach Road.
