Temple Beth Shalom sponsors abortion discussion
Temple Beth Shalom, 1461 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd. in Arnold, is sponsoring a discussion on "The Abortion Rights Issue -- the Jewish Perspective," at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
The discussion is the first in a series on "Jewish Response to Ethical Dilemmas of the '90s." Lori Morris-Pelavin, adviser to Maryland for Choice, is the featured speaker. The discussion will focus on the connection between Jewish values and the issues raised by Question 6, the abortion referendum ballot question.
The second discussion, "Debunking the Myths -- Societal Problems Afflict Jewish Families, Too," is set for 7:30 p.m. Nov. 24. The third, "Holiday Dilemmas for Interfaith Families," is at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14.
