Mack leads Severn over Curley, 54-0

While most of Severn's football players were thinking about having big performances against Archbishop Curley for homecoming yesterday, tailback Jamand Mack had something else in mind -- redemption.

Mack wanted to show that he has fully recovered from a broken leg suffered against Curley last season. And he put on a show.

The 6-foot, 175-pound senior rushed for three touchdowns and 150 yards on nine carries, leading the Admirals (7-0, 4-0) to a 54-0 romp over Curley (0-5, 0-4) in a Maryland Scholastic Association C Conference game.

"All I thought about this week was how they messed up my leg," said Mack, who has 1,036 yards rushing this season on 113 attempts. "I had something personal. I wanted to show that I was back."
