SHOOTINGS: Northern District -- Three people were wounded, none seriously, when someone fired a handgun in the 2700 block of Greenmount Ave. about 9:20 p.m. Thursday. Shot in the left calf and treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital and released was Shontee Douglas, 15, of the 600 block of E. 27th St. Shot in the left leg and treated and released from Union Memorial Hospital was Deborah Carter, 43, of the 2600 block of Boone St. Walter Wise, 52, of the 3300 block of Rogers Ave., was grazed in the left shoulder and refused medical treatment. A heavy sweater Mr. Wise was wearing prevented the bullet from breaking the skin. Police believe none of the victims were the gunman's intended targets. Four men wearing dark clothing were speeding from the scene in a tan or gold-colored car with New York license plates. Police said they have made no arrests and said they knew of no motive for the shootings.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone stole $360 worth of furniture from the front porch of a house in the 2700 block of N. Calvert St. Wednesday morning.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A 19-inch TV and a VCR were stolen Thursday after someone broke into a house in the 700 block of Druid Park Lake Drive by forcing the front door.

THEFT: Northern District -- Two 20-foot sections of copper downspouting were stolen from a house in the 4300 block of St. Paul St. Thursday. The downspouting was valued at $400.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke into a house in the 900 block of Harlem Ave. early Thursday morning and stole a VCR and a purse containing money and personal property, all valued at $840.

THEFT: Western District -- An odometer was stolen from a bus owned by the Eastman bus service in the 2500 block of Woodbrook Ave. Wednesday while the vehicle was parked on the company lot. The value of the odometer was not known.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Two telephones and $100 were stolen from a house in the 500 block of N. Arlington Ave. Thursday after someone entered through a third-floor door.

THEFT: Western District -- A money order made out for $262 was stolen Thursday from a resident of the 3400 block of Oakfield Ave. while she was in the 1900 block of Edmondson Ave.

THEFT: Western District -- A 19-inch TV valued at $150 was stolen from the kitchen table of a house in the 1400 block of W. Lafayette Ave. after two women entered the house Wednesday.

ASSAULT/ARRESTASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a woman Thursday and were holding her at the Women's Detention Center at the Central District pending charges of assaulting John Cooper, of the 1900 block of Riggs Ave., with a baseball bat during an argument in the 1000 block of W. Lexington St. Mr. Cooper sustained a broken nose and was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment and released.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1700 block of N. Carey St. was in the 1700 block of N. Stricker St. Wednesday night when he was robbed of a gold chain valued at nearly $400 by a gunman.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 900 block of Appleton St. of $260 and a pager in the 1300 block of N. Fulton Ave. early Thursday morning.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 1200 block of N. Charles St. of his $400 necklace Thursday morning in the 1600 block of W. North Ave.

THEFT: Western District -- A 10-speed bike valued at $250 was stolen from the 2200 block of Division St. Thursday morning after its owner, a resident of the 500 block of McKean Ave., left it unattended.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two teen-age boys robbed a resident of the 1100 block of N. Mount St. of her purse Thursday afternoon after assaulting her as she walked down the hallway of a building in the 1500 block of Harlem Ave. The youths escaped with cash and property, all valued at $15.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A briefcase, a 13-inch TV and cash were stolen from a house in the 1700 block of N. Smallwood St. Thursday by someone who entered by forcing a window.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 800 block of W. Lafayette Ave. last week and stole a camera and a VCR. The property was valued at $550.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A 13-year-old boy who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed a teen-age resident of the 600 block of Baker St. of his bike Thursday evening in the 1600 block of Woodyear St. The bike was valued at $100.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Property valued at $300 was stolen from a house in the 1100 block of N. Mount St. Wednesday night after someone entered through a rear window. Taken was stereo equipment, a TV and clothing.

CARJACKING: Central District -- Jemal Gross, 23, of the 1900 block of Eutaw Place, was getting some property out of a 1988 Mitsubishi in front of his home early Thursday morning when a gunman approached and ordered him to give up the car keys. Mr. Gross complied, and the gunman got into the car and drove off. The car has not been recovered.

THEFT: Central District -- Officer Molley R. Feather, assigned to the Central District, reported she was off duty early Thursday morning and was walking through a crowd of people inside the Baja Beach Club, at 55 Marketplace, when someone bumped into her and stole a pager she had attached to her purse. The pager was valued at $200.

AUTO THEFT: Central District -- A 1991 Honda, the property of a resident of the 400 block of S. Sharp St., was stolen Thursday from the 700 block of Guilford Ave.

AUTO THEFT: Central District -- Someone entered a 1988 Toyota while it was parked in the first block of W. Centre St. Wednesday and stole it.

THEFT: Central District -- A mobile phone valued at more than $400 was stolen Wednesday from a car parked in the 100 block of W. Centre St. Entry was gained by forcing a door open.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Property valued at more than $2,000 was stolen from a house in the 1400 block of Madison Ave. Wednesday after someone removed a door from its hinges. Taken was a 19-inch TV, two VCRs, stereo equipment and other property.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the first block of E. Eager St. was walking in the 1000 block of N. Charles St. about 5 a.m. Thursday when he was robbed of cash and property, all valued at $40, by a man armed with a rifle.

THEFT: Central District -- Someone broke into a 1988 Chevrolet owned by a New Jersey resident while it was parked in the 200 block of W. Lombard St. between Wednesday and Thursday and stole a 35mm camera, camcorder, radar detector and music tapes, all valued at more than $2,000.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Copper wiring valued at $600 was stolen Thursday when someone broke into a building at a job site in the 300 block of W. Lombard St.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Coins valued at more than $4,000 were stolen Tuesday orWednesday by someone who broke into the Ace Currency Exchange in the 2300 block of Park Ave. Taken were several African gold coins, Israeli victory coins, Eisenhower coins, coin books and assorted coins from various countries. Entry was gained through a third-floor rear window.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the 300 block of E. 27th St. was robbed of $25 by a gunman Wednesday night as he walked in the 2500 block of N. Charles St.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Someone broke into Harry Guss Inc. in the 400 block of W. Baltimore St. Wednesday night or Thursday morning by breaking a glass door and stole an undisclosed sum.

CHURCH BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Someone broke into the Wilson Chapel Baptist Church in the 2100 block of E. Fairmount Ave. between Sunday and Wednesday and stole stereo speakers, an amplifier, vacuum cleaner and a duplicating machine.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Someone broke into a 1985 Audi while it was parked in the 3800 block of Elkader Ave. early Thursday morning by forcing the driver's door and stole a wallet containing $10.

ROBBERY TRY: Northeastern District -- A gunman attempted to rob Murry's Steaks in the 3400 block of Belair Road about 8 p.m. Thursday, but he fled without taking any money when an employee stalled when the man demanded money from the cash register.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Four tires and wheels, all valued at $1,200, were stolen from a 1993 Ford Mustang Wednesday or Thursday while the vehicle was parked on a lot at Al Packer Ford in the 5600 block of Belair Road.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A handgun and several pieces of jewelry were stolen Wednesday night or early Thursday morning by someone who entered a house in the 4200 block of Walther Ave. through a basement window.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Tires and wheels, all valued at $400, were stolen from a 1984 Audi Thursday while the vehicle was parked in the 1600 block of E. Cold Spring Lane.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Five men, three armed with handguns, robbed three men of their property Wednesday night in the 1600 block of Freedom Way North. Taken from the three victims was cash, jewelry, clothing and other personal property, all valued at more than $2,500.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A gunman and his accomplice robbed a resident of the 5000 block of Truesdale Ave. of his wallet, cash and jewelry early Thursday morning in the 4900 block of Sinclair Lane. The property was valued at $720.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed the Money Service Center in the 5500 block of Sinclair Lane Thursday afternoon of an undisclosed sum.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- A 23-year-old resident of the 6300 block of Monika Place was walking along Woodlawn Drive near the Interstate 70 overpass about 5 p.m. Thursday when he was stopped by three men, two armed with handguns, who robbed him of his wallet containing about $100. The assailants then fled in different directions.

BURGLARY: Woodlawn District -- Between Oct. 9 and Thursday, someone entered six town houses under construction in the 7700 block of Paddock Way and stole at least $5,000 worth of appliances and building supplies.

BURGLARY: Parkville District -- Someone the police have dubbed "the lone re-arranger" entered a house in the first block of Coatsbridge Court between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Thursday and rearranged several pieces of furniture. Nothing was reported missing from the home, which was entered through a rear basement door.

THEFT: Parkville District -- An undisclosed sum was stolen Thursday morning from the office safe at the Super Fresh food store at the Parkville Shopping Center in the 7700 block of Harford Road.

BURGLARY: Cockeysville -- Someone broke into the Taco Bell in the 9900 block of York Road between Wednesday night and Thursday morning and stole a C&P; telephone off a wall. The phone was valued at $350.

THEFT: Cockeysville District -- Eleven 20-inch color TV sets, all valued at $3,300, were stolen from the warehouse of the Von Paris Co. in the 1900 block of York Road in Timonium between Oct. 6 and Wednesday.
