Health magazine has blown the lid off those low-down, snake-in-the-grass lying dieters. A survey has found that:
* Seventy percent of Americans say they eat less fast food than they did three years ago; in the same time period, the number of customers at fast-food restaurants is up 6 percent.
* Fifty percent of shoppers say they care about the fat in their food; Americans eat four more pounds of fat per person per year than they did 10 years ago.
* Seventy-five percent say they eat more fresh fruit than they did three years ago; since 1985, the amount of fruit eaten has dropped by four pounds a person a year.
* Americans say that since 1960, they have cut daily calories by 13 percent; on average, they eat 16 percent more calories than they did 30 years ago.
