Cub Scouts in Pack 269 receive awards WEST COUNTY -- Crofton * Odenton * Fort Meade * Gambrills


Members of Cub Scout Pack 269 received awards from Cub Scoutmaster Mark Hagensick at the September pack meeting at Four Seasons Elementary School.

Ricky Sutcliffe was given his Webelos badge. Webelos activity badges were presented to the following: Trevor Allen, traveler badge; Brian Bartimo, handyman, forester and family member; Ricky Sutcliffe, fitness, forester and family member; Sean Linton, forester; Brett Bosher, Sean Brynes, Matthew Coulter, Kevin Farber, Brad Hurst, Michael Innes, Bart Maxwell, Matthew Seaton, Marty Shatzer and Daniel Sonntag, communicator.

Attendance awards were given to Trevor Allen, Michael Hodgkiss, Brad Hurst, Daniel Parmentier and Clint Sullivan. The Cub scoutmaster also presented sports awards to the following: Freddy Downing, for archery, bowling, fishing and soccer; Tim Anderson, Billy Bergbauer, Will Brady, Matthew Hagensick, Brandon Lanouette, Jason Lively, Brandon Rieger, badminton; Jacob McNamee, baseball; Sean Danahy, biking, golf, skating, soccer and swimming; Devon Hof, biking and swimming; Kevin Zoblisein, biking, swimming and baseball; Lance Bell, bowling, fishing and soccer; Eric Scott and Michael Strang, bowling; Michael Ostiguy, fishing and baseball; Troy Clark and Andrew Moore, fishing.


Girl Scouts in Odenton and Gambrills are accepting new members. Girls from kindergarten through 12th grade interested in joining should call Margret Kaul at 674-7315.


Arundel Middle School has started collecting Giant register receipts. These receipts will be exchanged for computers and computer equipment. Give your receipts to Arundel Middle School students, take them to the school office or mail them to

the school, 501 Higgens Drive, Odenton, 21113.


The Kiwanis Club of Odenton recently held its 1992-'93 installation of officers. The new officers are Michael Buinickas, president; Walter E. Fletcher, vice president; Robert E. Boydstun, secretary; and Winifred M. Pell, treasurer. Members of the board of directors are John A. Collard, George W. R. Davis, Matthew Dyjack, John W. Howard Sr., Joseph P. McCartan, Edward L. Sievers Sr. and Vicki A. Wellford.

The club meets every Monday at 7 p.m. at the club hall, 1363 Becknell Ave.


The Manor View Elementary School PTA meeting is at 7 tonight. County police officers will present a program on latchkey kids. Fort Meade Military Police officers will fingerprint children and discuss the block parent program. The Girl Scouts will provide free child care.


The Odenton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary is holding a craft show from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. Sunday at the hall on Route 175. Table rentals are available for $15. Refreshments will be available. For more information, call 551-3672.


A Husbands' Appreciation Day Brunch, sponsored by the Retired Officers' Wives' Club, is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Nov. 8 at the Fort Meade Officers' Club. Tickets are $12. For reservations, call Norma Thompson at 987-4868.
