Donations being accepted for spiritual retreats

The Severna Park United Methodist Church is accepting donations for a "Quality of Life" retreat on the West River for AIDS patients. The cost is $50 a person.

One such retreat, scheduled for today and tomorrow, is specifically for deaf people who have AIDS or who have been diagnosed as HIV positive.

The United Methodist Baltimore Conference established the retreats and has additional retreats scheduled this winter. Hundreds of people have attended past retreats, which include spiritual counseling as well as recreation and relaxation.
