LYNCHBURG, VA. — Freshman midfielder Dave Briles scored the only goal with 7:41 elapsed to give Loyola a 1-0 soccer victory over Columbia yesterday at Curley Field.
It was the fourth straight victory for the Greyhounds (8-2-1) and the 35th career shutout and sixth this season by goalkeeper Shawn Boehmcke. He is tied for seventh in NCAA history in that category.
