Baltimore firefighter seized in morning cocaine raids More than $250,000 worth of drug is also taken, police say


A city firefighter was one of three men arrested early today on cocaine distribution charges following an investigation that resulted in the seizure of more than $250,000 of the drug.

The three were arrested when search and seizure warrants were executed at four locations about 2 a.m.

The firefighter was identified as Gerard Cifarelli, 25, who lives in Shrewsbury, Pa. He is assigned to the Rescue 1 unit at the Steadman House on South Howard Street. He was arrested at a house in the 6600 block of Danville Ave.

Also arrested were Carroll Galinus, 49 of the 6600 block of Danville Ave., and James Ray Rodgers, 51 of the 1400 block of Broening Highway.
