Look for new, attractive and unique things at a craft fair, or old, practical and interesting things at a rummage sale Saturday. Either way it will be a good day to shop in Linthicum and have fun at the same time.
Even if the weather isn't at its best, don't stay home, as both events will still take place, rain or shine.

The Home School Association of St. Philip Neri is sponsoring its seventh annual Fall Craft Fair at the school, 6401 Orchard Road, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This popular event will have 90 craftsmen and woman participating. Country designs, wood crafts, dried floral crafts, quilting and other items will be available.
St. Philip Neri cookbooks, a collection of recipes from the parents, will be on sale for $3 in the kitchen and on the bake table.
The face painting table will be manned by seventh-grade artists. Pick from one of their sample designs, or bring your own for them to copy.
Food will be available throughout the day. A delicious tuna salad on pita sandwich, a best seller in past years, will again be available along with hot dogs, chips, and drinks.
The bake table of homemade goods will be set up in the school office. Proceeds from this table will provide a free hot Thanksgiving lunch for all students. Shop early as these home-baked goods will probably sell out quickly.
All proceeds from the fair will benefit the educational needs of the students.

The following girls won two blue ribbons for their routines: Heather Cravens, Ammie Ducker, Kerry Fell, Denise Hare, Michelle Nadwodny, Stephanie Newcomer, Michele Shores and Tawaneka Spencer. Angelene Helmbright won a red and a blue ribbon. The girls also received an invitation to perform at half time at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla.
The following girls performed solo routines: Michele Shores won a first-place trophy and ribbon, Denise Hare won a ribbon and medal and Angelene Helmbright won a ribbon.
* New officers were installed at the recent band parents meeting: Michael Holy, president; Judy Bolly, vice-president; Diane Glodek, secretary, and Glenn Mohr, treasurer.
The band and Band Front members and parents have several fund raising activities planned for the near future.
* Band students are selling Gold C Coupon Books, a less expensive version of the Entertainment Book, for $10. Coupons are good for restaurants, movies and more. The money raised will be used toward the band's spring trip to Canada. To order a book, call the school at 859-5400 by Wednesday.
* Another fund-raiser is planned at Burger King on Nursery Road from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Twenty percent of the receipts that night will go to the band's general fund and to help buy garment bags for their uniforms. The $10 Gold C coupons books will also be available that night.
