Carnival held at Firemen's Building

The Manchester Volunteer Fire Company brings back the best of summer with a Fall Carnival today through Sunday at the Firemen's Building on York Street.

For three days, beginning at 4:30 p.m today, there will be family rides, games, flea market,food and music when Big Wheely and the Whitewalls rock the town with their sounds.

The fun continues Saturday with breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m., then platters of roast beef, turkey, fried shrimp, chicken, crab cakes and pit beef come back at 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Liberty Street Rodders, Cabin Creek and Reno Brothers provide the music.

Sunday, you can take in breakfast and the platters again from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and entertainment in the afternoon by Anita Stapleton. Information: 239-2286.


* Lineboro: Firefighters from Lineboro were sent to York County, Pa., to answer an automatic fire alarm on Route 516 at 5:02 p.m. Wednesday.
