SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- Two men were shot and wounded in the 300 block of N. Franklintown Road Monday night by a man firing a handgun. Larry Lee, of the 500 block of N. Pulaski St., was shot behind the left knee, and Carl Allen, of the 4200 block of Rokeby Road, was shot in the arm. Both men were taken to Bon Secours Hospital for treatment. Police found several shell casings from a .45-caliber semiautomatic handgun. Police said they knew of no motive.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the 500 block of Druid Hill Ave. was robbed of her 24-inch TV yesterday by a man who asked for money but was invited in for a meal instead. After the man entered the woman's house and while she was preparing a meal, the man threatened her with a knife. He then picked up the woman's TV and ran out the door.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A man from the 1400 block of Madison Ave. was robbed of $11 in the 200 block of W. Madison St. last night by another man, who hit him in the head.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A 19-inch TV, a stereo receiver and speakers were stolen from a house in the 700 block of Allegany Place Monday by someone who broke through a second-floor bedroom window.

ROBBERY: Western District -- After being robbed at gunpoint of two gold chains and a watch Monday night, a security guard pulled his own pistol and fired four shots at the fleeing robber. The guard, who lives in the 600 block of N. Carey St., was in the 1300 block of Woodyear St. at 10 p.m. when he was robbed. Police arrested Joseph Roscoe, 25, of the 1400 block of Mosher St., and charged him with armed robbery. A gun taken from the man turned out to be a toy, police said.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two residents of the 2300 block of Eutaw Place were robbed of $10 Monday night by a gunman in the 2500 block of Eutaw Place.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A man broke into a home in the first block of N. Monroe St. early yesterday morning and robbed a woman of a radio and stereo amplifier.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Three men, one armed with a gun, robbed a resident of the 2500 block of Calverton Heights Ave. of $40 and his wallet in the 300 block of N. Fulton Ave. yesterday.

ARREST: Western District -- A resident of the 1600 block of McKean Ave. was arrested and charged with robbing a woman in the 1800 block of N. Smallwood St. yesterday and taking $110 from her. Charged with robbery and released on $1,500 bail was Willie Joseph Spann, 34.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Hand and power tools, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen from a garage in the 800 block of N. Pulaski St. over the weekend after someone forced a door.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke into a store in the 200 block of N. Bentalou St. over the weekend and stole a TV, postage stamps and $100.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A VCR, 10-speed bike and a cam-corder valued at nearly $2,000 were stolen yesterday from a house in the 1500 block of N. Bentalou St.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the first block of S. Beechfield Ave. was robbed of $10 in the 4000 block of Frederick Ave. Monday by a man who attacked him from behind.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A bicyclist from the 1000 block of Mount Holly St. was robbed of his money by a gunman who stopped him in the 700 block of Allendale St. Monday night.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone stole nearly $800 from the Kang Family Store in the first block of S. Catherine St. Monday.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 2100 block of Hollins St. was walking near his home Monday night when he was attacked by a man armed with a piece of wood who struck him several times on the head and arms. Martin Daysbury sustained cuts and bruises and was treated at the scene. A man was arrested later and charged with aggravated assault before being released on his own recognizance.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Two dishwashers valued at nearly $400 were stolen from a CSX Railroad car while it was parked in the 1900 block of Gable Ave. Monday.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 100 block of N. Culver St. was robbed of more than $100 Monday by a man armed with a knife who attacked her near her home. Before fleeing, the man cut the woman on the arm. She was not seriously injured.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Two men, one armed with a gun, robbed a resident of the 100 block of N. Denison St. of $5 Monday while the victim walked in the 300 block of Allendale St.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A man armed with a knife attacked a resident of the 300 block of S. Augusta Ave. near his home Monday and robbed him of more than $200.

CAB HOLDUP: Southwestern District -- A driver for the Royal Cab company was in the 1100 block of N. Ellamont St. yesterday morning when a passenger he picked up earlier pulled out a gun and robbed him of more than $100.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A gunman forced his way into a house in the 1200 block of N. Woodington Road yesterday and robbed the occupant of a safe and its contents. The contents were not disclosed.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Clothing valued at more than $2,000 was stolen between Monday and Tuesday after someone broke into Asabi International in the 4600 block of York Road by forcing the front door.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 1500 block of Aisquith St. was standing at a bus stop in the 5600 block of York Road yesterday when he was robbed of his cash and jewelry, valued at more than $400, by two men, one armed with a metal object.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two men, one armed with a piece of pipe, assaulted a resident of the 2500 block of Garrison Boulevard early yesterday morning while he was walking in the 500 block of Winston Ave. The men escaped with a pack of cigarettes and cash, all valued at less than $6.

BANK ROBBERY: Northern District -- A man robbed the Maryland National Bank in the 3100 block of St. Paul St. yesterday afternoon of an undisclosed sum after giving a teller a note demanding money.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone stole 22 T-shirts and nearly a dozen sweat shirts valued at nearly $700 from Sinai Hospital's gift shop over the weekend.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- More than $2,000 in cash, a diamond ring and a second ring were stolen from an apartment in the 3500 block of Falls Road yesterday after someone entered through a door.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A check for more than $4,000 was stolen from a house in the 4400 block of Buena Vista Ave. yesterday by someone who entered through an unlocked door.

ROBBERY: Wilkens District -- A 23-year-old Arbutus woman was robbed of her purse and more than $100 by two teen-age boys, one armed with a handgun, as she was about to enter the Super Fresh food store in the 5100 block of East Drive shortly before 9 p.m.

ROBBERY: Wilkens District -- Two youths, one armed with what appeared to be a .38-caliber handgun, robbed a 48-year-old Catonsville woman of $20 yesterday evening while she was about to place groceries inside her car, which was parked behind the Giant food store in the 4600 block of Wilkens Ave.

THEFT: Wilkens District -- A man stole an undisclosed sum from a cash register at the McDonald's outlet in the 3200 block of Washington Boulevard yesterday.

ROBBERY: Essex District -- Two men, one armed with a shotgun, robbed the Pleasant Inn at 11703 Pulaski Highway of an undisclosed sum at closing time early today. The robbers forced the employees into a stand-up freezer before escaping.

BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- A microwave oven, an answering machine, a fax machine, a laser printer, a VCR, a TV and other property, all valued at more than $2,000, was stolen from the Arthritis Foundation of Maryland office in the first block of Lanlea Drive in Timonium by someone who broke through a rear window over the weekend.

BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- Someone broke through a bay door into the Grease Monkey, an auto lubricating firm in the 10800 block of York Road, between Sept. 5 and yesterday, causing at least $100 in damage.

BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- A clothes washer, dryer and a vacuum cleaner, all valued at more than $900, were stolen from an apartment in the first block of Kilcoman Court over the weekend after someone entered through a patio door.

BURGLARY: Brooklyn Park -- Someone broke into a house in the 5900 block of Ritchie Highway over the weekend through a window and stole property of unknown value.
